Frequently Asked Questions

What services does FA Metrology offer?

We provide comprehensive metrology services including sales, service, and 17025-accredited calibration of weighing and precision measurement equipment. We handle mass, torque, tension, compression, non-contact inspection, contact inspection, surface finish, hardness, length/depth/volume measurement, and more.

Are you accredited?

Yes — our calibration lab is accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 by A2LA (Certificate #3864.01), ensuring traceable, industry-standard measurement and calibration practices.

What types of equipment can you calibrate?

We can calibrate a wide variety of measuring devices, from balances and industrial scales to micrometers, calipers, force gauges, hardness testers, inspection tools, and more — essentially most types of measurement and weighing instruments used in industry.

Calibration ensures measurement accuracy, traceability, and compliance with standards. Properly calibrated equipment helps maintain quality control, prevents errors, supports regulatory compliance, and ensures consistent results across production or inspection processes.

Calibration frequency depends on how often equipment is used and under what conditions. For frequently used tools or those subject to wear (e.g. torque wrenches, scales in high throughput environments), quarterly or more frequent calibration may be necessary. For lab-grade instruments used in controlled conditions, annual calibration is often sufficient.

Yes. Every calibration service comes with full documentation and a calibration certificate, traceable to national or international standards — providing audit-ready records for compliance and quality assurance.

We offer both. Our technicians can perform on-site calibration at your facility or you can send equipment to our calibration lab. We can also coordinate with our accredited partner labs for calibrations beyond our in-house scope.

Yes. We supply precision measurement and weighing equipment along with our calibration and servicing services.

Yes. Our experience spans diverse industries, from general manufacturing to industrial scale applications. When needed, we partner with other accredited labs to provide calibrations for heavy-duty or specialized equipment beyond our in-house capabilities.

You can request a quote or schedule service by contacting us directly — mention the type of equipment, the services you need (sale, calibration, service), and whether you prefer on-site or in-lab calibration.
